Welcome to St. Matthew’s

Our Commitment to Accessibility

St. Matthew’s is dedicated to maintaining accessibility in our physical spaces. Our organization continuously evaluates and enhances accessibility arrangements in our Sanctuary, meeting places, classrooms, and offices to provide an inclusive environment for all individuals.

Our entrance and Sanctuary are wheelchair accessible and there are no stairs involved for entering our building. Our main entrance is through an outside courtyard, adjacent to the parking lot of which there are numerous marked areas for handicap parking. Our side entrance (on the circle) allows people to be dropped off at the door (however, there is a curb from the street to the sidewalk entrance). At worship services, an usher is available to park your car or assist. Our clergy and readers are amplified, so sound is accessible to all. We also offer online live worship services on Facebook and YouTube.

Our Commitment to Accessibility Online

St. Matthew’s is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to people with disabilities. We strive to provide an inclusive online experience for all visitors, and we are continuously working to improve the accessibility of our website.

Accessibility is at the core of our values. We believe that an accessible website allows all individuals, regardless of ability, to navigate and interact with our site easily and enjoyably. Our goal is to meet or exceed the standards set forth by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to ensure that our website is accessible to everyone.

At St. Matthew’s, we have implemented various accessibility adjustments to make our website user-friendly for individuals with disabilities. These adjustments include adhering to WCAG 2.1 guidelines, providing alternative text for images, ensuring color contrast compliance, and optimizing the site for assistive technologies such as screen readers and keyboard navigation.

In cases where third-party content may impact accessibility, we will diligently work to address any issues and strive for full compliance with accessibility standards.

If you encounter any accessibility barriers on our website or have any accessibility-related questions, please reach out to us. We value your feedback and are committed to addressing any issues in a timely manner.

Thank you for visiting St. Matthew’s website. We are dedicated to ensuring that all individuals, including those with disabilities, have a seamless and fulfilling experience on our website as well as when you visit us in person in our building.
