Children return to worship with their families at The Peace.
At St. Matthew’s, worship is the heart of what we do. We are a community that is on a spiritual journey. From our oldest to youngest members, tallest to smallest, we gather to worship with all of who we are and all of what we carry. Worship is a place for us to gather and find shelter in the most difficult of times, and also a place for us to share our great joy with a community where we are welcome to be our whole selves.
Our Sunday morning liturgy follows the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer. It includes biblical readings (from the Old Testament, Psalm, New Testament, and Gospel), a sermon, prayers, and a celebration of Holy Communion (also known as “The Lord’s Supper” or “The Eucharist”). The service also includes congregational and choral singing supported by our organ or piano and, on occasion, other instrumental accompaniment.
All baptized Christians of any age (you don’t have to be an Episcopalian) are welcome to receive Holy Communion here at St. Matthew’s. A gluten-free option is also available.
You can view our services livestream on YouTube and on Facebook.
While Sunday morning is our primary time to worship, there are many opportunities to gather for prayer and song throughout the seasons. Please sign-up for our weekly eNews and follow us on our socials to learn of other opportunities such as Taize Compline, weekday services during Lent, and more.
