PARISH LIFE
At St. Matthew’s, we worship together, learn together, serve in the greater community together, and have fun together. We have many groups that meet regularly together for study, service, and fellowship with something for everyone. Our weekly “Coffee Hour” following Sunday worship is an important time to catch up with one another in our Narthex which offers comfortable seating areas for any age. Throughout the year, we host special events for the whole congregation such as:
ANNUAL AUCTION
Our annual auction is a highlight of the year, when we gather for food (we have amazing cooks), fun fellowship (yes, we like to laugh and don't take ourselves too seriously), and fun(d)-raising. Parishioners and local businesses donate goods and services for a silent and live auction.
Each year it has a theme, with the most recent (October 2025) entitled "Boogie & Bid" with many dressing up in 1970's attire (a mix of hippies and disco-fever). Funds raised are an important part of our annual budget that allows us to do God's mission inside and outside of our walls.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Members of St. Matthew's are engaged in Wilton and the greater community in a variety of ways. Besides our Mission Engagement, we show up to celebrate St. Matthew's in the community at events such as Wilton Pride and Wilton's Summer Street Fair.
