"Sounds Fun!"
This summer, send your kids to "Sounds Fun!" summer music camp! If you have kids in preK–2nd grade, or if you have friends, family, or neighbors who do, they will not want to miss this wonderful camp offered by our music director, Andrew. Running from Monday, June 27 until Friday, July 1, this camp offers five full days—9am to 2pm—of musical fun. The tuition fee is $275 per child, but scholarships are available for those families with financial hardship.
Please spread the word about this wonderful offering.
Activities will include:
- Learning about the families of musical instruments and inventing our own using household items.
- Listening to the musical sounds we find in nature—birdsong and animal calls.
- Learn about the solar system, using Holst's The Planets for musical aid.
- Exploring musical rhythm using LEGOs to practice and create our own.
- Listening to a little of Vivaldi's Four Seasons and creating artwork related to the seasons of the year.
Over the course of the whole week, the campers will work on creating a brand new composition together, as well as learning fun songs and rounds to sing together. At the end of the camp, we will share all this music with you, the parents, in a special mini-concert! On top of these musical activities, "Sounds Fun!" will feature plenty of time for playing outdoors and making friends.
