The Good Shepherd
Dear friends and members of St. Matt’s,
For those of you that are traveling this week – or just “on vacation”, I hope you’re having a wonderful week. The Easter season is a great time for some rest and respite. The staff and I are staggering some time off, too, in these weeks after our rush through Holy Week, Easter, and the Bishop’s visit. So, please be patient with us if we’re a little slower than usual to respond!
There are a number of important things happening on our campus next week on the 28th! For kids and adults alike! Please take a careful look through this email and send me a note if you want to RSVP your child to one of these events. And/or if you’re able to help us offer hospitality to those coming to the documentary later in the day. We’re looking for simple baking – muffins, breads, brownies, etc. If you can help, please send me a note and let me know! Thank you!
On Sunday, you’ll hear all kinds of references in text and music to the Good Shepherd. It’s a beautiful Sunday in the season – a reminder that no matter where we are, or what we’ve done, Jesus will always come find us. He is always looking out for us. He is always longing to scoop us up, out of any danger or sadness, and bring us back into the close. How are you experiencing his presence in this season? How are you letting him scoop you up and lead you back to joy?
Until we are together again, God loves you. And so do I.
Faithfully,
–Marissa +
