Stay connected with God & St. Matt's this summer!
Message From Marissa
Dear Friends,
As summer begins to take us away, I hope you'll make plans to include God and St. Matt's in all that you're planning and doing. When you're here, please be with us on Sunday mornings (note the service time change in July and August) for worship. Join us for Pub Theology on Monday night (7/1). Take Flat Matt with you as you travel. Order Barking to the Choir on Amazon or pick one up at church from me. Join the parish facebook group so that you can jump into the conversation about what it means for God's people to be kin from wherever you are. There will be many more opportunities this summer for fellowship, formation, and fun at St. Matt's, so make sure you keep an eye on the e-news and join us when you can.
Wherever you find yourself this summer, I hope you find both rest and peace. I hope you can find time to take in the beauty of creation, to see all the gifts around us that God has given us to enjoy, to steward, to love. I hope you'll take time to read and pray, that you'll make room to get to know God better. And that you'll make space to share the journey with people you love who call the best out of you. Make room in each day for prayer and meditation and for the activities that bring you closer to God - the ones that make you feel more alive. And if you need help imagining how you might do any (or all!) of that, I hope you'll send me a note and set up a time to come in so that we can talk about it. I'm glad to be your companion in the Way.
Please know that you will continue to be in my prayers, no matter where you are. And I hope to see you on Sunday.
Faithfully,
--Marissa +
