Guest Preacher and Forum after worship on 12/5
Join us on Sunday 12/5 for a visit from a guest preacher and a chance to learn from her at a forum after the 10:00am service. All are welcome! You'll have a lot to chew on!
Erika Plank Hagan is a postulant towards ordination to the priesthood here in the Episcopal Church in CT, and is the thinker/writer/eater behind Eating Liturgically, an intentional eating discipline around the Episcopal liturgical calendar. Join her at the Forum following worship on December 5th to hear about how Eating Liturgically evolved, and what it looks like to eat liturgically in Advent - days of not-yet feasting for Christmas with a few fast days and major feasts here and there. We'll talk about treats for St. Lucia and St. Thomas, the tension of the company holiday party falling on a Friday day of fasting, and how waiting to feast in expectation makes Christmas morning a glorious celebration. You can check out more about Eating Liturgically at eatingliturgically.com or @eatingliturgically on social media.
