A Liturgy for the Weary – Tonight at 7pm
Every year, some of us come to the holiday season with aching and broken hearts. Every year, there are members of our community for whom the brightness and hope of the holiday season seems distant. This might include people who have experienced a loss, recent or not. It might include those who are struggling with a relationship or a season in life. It might include folks who are sad about the state of the world. It might include people who are weary, who feel fatigue in their bones, who just can’t quite hear the angels sing this year without having their eyes fill with tears. This service is for you. At a brief service of song and prayer, we will create a safe space to worship and to grieve, to give thanks and to be honest about what hurts.
All who are seeking, all who are aching, all who are weary are welcome to join us on December 21st at 7pm for this short, contemplative service. Bring your grief, your weariness, your fatigue. Come as you are, no matter how that is. And allow yourself – just before Christmas – a moment of quiet, a moment of reflection. Together, we will draw near to God. You are welcome.
