Eucharistic Ministers

The Ministry of a Eucharistic Minister

Eucharistic Ministers (EMs) are lay persons who assist at the altar at 10:00am services, plus other special services as needed such as funerals, memorial services, weddings, and Holy Week. Duties include carrying the Gospel Book in procession, assisting during Holy Baptism, and –– most noticeably –– administering the chalice (wine) during Holy Communion alongside the clergy. Training is provided for this ministry for those 16 years and older. Time commitment is one Sunday a month. Contact Sharon Pearson for more information.
