An exciting choral celebration

The next concert in The Arts at St. Matthew’s 2023–24 season is a tremendously exciting one. Tonight on Friday, February 2nd, over 100 young people will bring their voices to St. Matthew’s and fill the church with sound. Westminster Choir, conducted by Dr. James Jordan, will travel from New Jersey to present an eclectic and heartfelt concert. Joining them will be choral students from Wilton High School and Bunnell High School (Stratford, CT).

Setting the standard for choral excellence since 1920, the Westminster Choir is composed of students at Westminster Choir College of Rider University. The ensemble’s 2023–24 season includes a series of concerts in New Jersey, as well as additional off-campus performances.

Recent seasons have included concert tours in Beijing, China and Spain, as well as participation in the World Symposium on Choral Music in Barcelona and groundbreaking performances of Julia Wolfe’s Pulitzer Prize winning Anthracite Fields at the historic Roebling WireWorks as part of Westminster’s Transforming Space project.
