The first of the new things.
Dear friends and members of St. Matt's,
Thank you so much for coming and participating on our Annual Meeting on Sunday. There were more than 100 of you there! That's easily the highest attendance we've had in the last few years. Thank you. I am so grateful for all of you and for all the ways you have continued to support and stay connected to our life together. And despite the challenges, I am grateful for the pieces of this last year that were meaningful, that brought us together, and that aided our community in this very difficult season. I'm looking forward to the year that is ahead, to all the hope and possibility of what is to come.
On Sunday, we elected new members, recognized those who were transitioning out of roles, and shared the story of the year that has passed. Our time began with prayer and Bible study, and I shared with you that this will be one of the important changes to our life in the year ahead. At the recommendation of our RenewalWorks Team, all of our meetings across the parish should now begin with a moment of prayer and Bible study. Whether you're on a committee or not, if you're curious about what that looks like for the month of February, click here. If you have questions or wonderings about this new practice, please feel free to be in touch with me or with any member of the RW Team.
We have a busy few weeks ahead of us, so please take a careful look at our e-news and join in on the fun! I hope this snow day finds you well and that you and those you love are safe and well. God bless you and keep you.
Faithfully,
--Marissa +
