The Fifth Week of Lent
Dear friends & members of St. Matt's,
I can't believe it - but we're already nearing the end of Lent. Holy Week is just about a week and a half away. If you haven't yet, now is the moment to really make room in your life and your heart to prepare for Holy Week. See the Holy Week schedule here. Join us on Saturday (4/2) for a Mini Lenten Quiet Day. If you haven't done a Quiet Day with me before - know that it's intended to be a mini-retreat. A time to come away, to enjoy the quiet, to take care of yourself. And to hear God in the silence more clearly because you're feeling settled, cared for, and grounded.
There's lots more to see and read about in our e-news this week. Lots of ways to connect with God, St. Matt's, and your neighbor. Please take careful note of a note from Don below. Since he wrote this note, we have determined that his last Sunday with us will be June 5th, the day of Pentecost. While his time with us ending, I look forward to celebrating his ministry among us on June 5th; plans are already underway. I know you'll want to join me in thanking him for his time with us - and the good news is - we have some time between here and there.
I pray that you are well. And I look forward to sharing the journey to the cross with you. As always, if you need something, please be in touch. God loves you. And so do I.
Faithfully,
--Marissa +
