St. Matt's Engages Racial Healing, Justice, & Reconciliation
In the month of August, more than 30 parishioners participated in our conversations about racial healing, justice, and reconciliation. Together, we read two books: Waking Up White and Stand Your Ground. And as we explored the work of Debby Irving and the Very Rev. Dr. Kelly Brown Douglas, we also explored our own stories and experiences. This was good and holy work.
On Sunday, September 6th, we'll gather again to think together about what next steps might look like for us at St. Matt's. Join us at 11:30am on the 6th in a Zoom room to participate in this conversation. Like all of our sessions, we will enter into sacred space together and discern together where God might have us go. Join us, along with our companion in this work, the Rev. Dr. Don Hamer. As always, the zoom link is in our e-news and will be posted in our Parishioner Facebook Group.
