News, Renewal Works, and Opportunities for Prayer
Dear friends and members of St. Matthew's,
Tonight, I'll gather with your Renewal Works team as we continue to unfold the way forward. There are some faithful and exciting opportunities that will arise out of the work of this team, invitations for all of us to grow in our faith and in our relationships with God and with each other. I'm looking forward to the chance to tell you about some of this work at the Annual Meeting and hopefully, by then, about some of the next steps in our life as a community. And I'm grateful to this team of people who are giving their time and their attention to this important work on our behalf.
In the weeks ahead, there will be many opportunities for you to connect and grow. I hope you'll see an eye on our e-news and on our website so that you don't miss out on the fun.
Tonight, if you're not going to be with me and the Renewal Works team, there are two opportunities for corporate prayer that I want to make you aware of. The first is at 5pm, a Time of Prayer for the Nation with the Episcopal Church in Connecticut. And the second will take place at 7pm, sponsored by members of our Inter-Faith Clergy Alliance here in Wilton. You can register here for this inter-faith service; there is a cap on attendance at 300 and it will run about 30 minutes.
Wherever you are this week, and however you choose to pray, know of God's love for you and of this community's love for you. You are all in my prayers. And I hope to see you soon. Please be in touch if you need anything.
Faithfully,
--Marissa +
