May begins!

Dear friends and members of St. Matt’s,

I want to begin with another word of thanks to everyone who helped to make our visit with Carter Heyward so special. Thanks to the committee and to all who baked, brought snacks, came early, helped clean up, or just came to participate in worship or in the screening. It was a really wonderful day. I think Carter left feeling cared for and appreciated, with that special feeling about our welcome in Wilton. And I give thanks for all that was shared. It was a wonderful weekend. Thank you.

I hope that we will continue to process the gifts of her visit, that we will continue to be nudged forward to love and serve our neighbors in many of the ways she talked about. All of these lessons enrich us and enable us to live more fully into our faith. It was a gift to us to have her here to share her journey and her deep commitment to the all-inclusive love of God.

In the weeks ahead, we will begin to look toward the end of the program year in the middle of June. Andrew’s next Arts at St. Matthew’s Concert is on May 18th. We’ll have a baptism on the day of Pentecost. We’ll celebrate our seniors on June 9th. And we’ll give thanks for our Choir at their last Sunday of the season on June 16th. And yet, there’s more. We have a busy few weeks ahead – and I look forward to sharing it all with you. Keep an eye on our e-news and on our socials so that you don’t miss out on any of the fun!

As we make our way into the busy end of the season, please let me know if there is anything I can do for you. Send me a note, I’d be glad to spend some time with you. I hope you’re having a wonderful week and look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

Faithfully,

–Marissa +
