Education for Ministry

Seeking to study the Bible and how to apply it to your daily life? Education for Ministry (EfM) helps us understand how we are called into relationship with God, neighbor, and creation wherever we are – at home, at work, in all the places we spend time. Sharon Pearson, a certified EfM mentor facilitates the seminar that meets weekly, on Mondays from 7:00-9:30pm at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Wilton (via Zoom this past academic year). Alongside reading the Bible, learn how to do theological reflection to understand how Scripture, our Christian tradition, our society/culture, and our stories can inform how we view God and live out our lives as people of faith. Currently there are seven participants from St. Matthew’s Wilton, Christ & Holy Trinity Westport, and St. Mark’s New Canaan in this group with openings for five more participants.
An EfM Open House will be held via Zoom on Tuesday, June 8 from 7:30-8:30pm. To learn more about the program in advance: http://efm.sewanee.edu or contact Sharon at [email protected] who can also share the Zoom link info with you.
