DC Mission Trip 2020
Update from our DC Chaperones "Thursday was a hard day. Both groups had rewarding, but tiring 3 hour shifts at Food and Friends, DC Central Kitchen and Martha’s Table. Here is one tired group packing meals and groceries at Food and Friends. We had fun!
Same group later in the day at DC Central Kitchen - included opening hundreds of cans of pears and peeling hundreds of potatoes. Some other fun jobs pictured include making pasta sauce and breaking up cheese. We were bone weary after the work shifts, but don’t we all look good in our hair and beard nets?
Thursday night - Monuments!! Most of the group wants to see the sites as colder temps loom for Friday and Saturday nights. Lots of fun and a great dose of history and patriotism at Lincoln, Vietnam, WW2 and MLKJr Memorials."
