Confirmation Worship Trip Recap - Our Lady of Fatima - January 04, 2020

This past Saturday a number of confirmands and mentors joined the Presbyterian confirmands in worshipping at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church in Wilton. Respectfully, all of us sat together and participated in the Mass through the hymns and prayers as the Feast of the Epiphany was celebrated. Whispering in our pews, we helped each other find the right book or leaflet so we could follow along in the service and readings. We noticed how similar the worship was to St. Matthew's as well as how different it was - for some this was confusing! After the service we met with the Rev. Reginald "Reggie" Norman who answered such questions as, "Why do you say the Lord's Prayer in two parts?" and "Why do you have a service on Saturday when we have one on Sunday?" Father Reggie shared a bit about how we all worship the same God and the church is always available to anyone. We will be talking more about what we experienced when we gather next.
