The Arts at St. Matthew’s — 2023–24 season in summary

This past Saturday, the 2023–24 season of The Arts at St. Matthew’s drew to a close. From September to June, this series offered nine different concert events, featuring a wide variety of performers.

Thank you to all who attended these concerts!

Take a trip down memory lane:

September — The season opened with Ryan Young and Matt Heaton dazzling us with some traditional Scottish fiddle music.

October — Andrew performed organ music by Bach, Howells, Price, Lefébure-Wély, and Andrée.

November — Our amazing Church Choir sang Fauré’s timeless Requiem with guest soloists.

January — Michelle Pauker crooned for us, accompanied by her 5-piece band.

February — The church was well-and-truly jam-packed: Westminster Choir traveled from New Jersey and was joined by two local high school choirs.

March — A Lenten Devotional Concert featured chants by St. Hildegard of Bingen, Bach’s Violin Partita in D minor, and organ/piano music by Arvo Pärt

April — We celebrated the Hindu festival of Holi together with Chhandayan and their traditional Raga music.

May — La Fiocco took us on a musical journey through time, especially highlighting colonial American music.

June — Andrew conducted two symphonies and played the organ.
