Mission Training November 19th with Circle of Care
Art From The Heart transforms a cancer patient’s room at home into a personal wonderland. Since 2005, Circle of Care has transformed over 127 bedrooms and play areas in the homes of young patients using paint, fabric, furnishings and love – all inspired by the boundless imagination of the children. Now it's our turn to participate in creating a special homecoming for a child.
While it will be possible for many from the parish to participate, we first need to train a group of folks who will lead the project. Do you want to help lead this first big project with Circle of Care? RSVP for the training by e-mailing Pam Ely. Read a little more below from Circle of Care about Art from the Heart.

Something to Look Forward to During Treatment
Cancer treatment is emotionally and physically draining, particularly for children who have to endure long hospital stays and extended periods of time at home, away from school and friends.
This program not only provides an enormous boost to a child with cancer, but it inspires a culture of service – critical to Circle of Care – by calling on volunteers to help a child in their community with cancer. Each team is with their project every step of the way; from thought to execution. The teams have to create a budget, purchase selected items and collaborate directly with the child to bring their vision to life. This transformative experience is overseen under the guidance of volunteer interior design professionals. The teams also take the extra step in doing something special as a surprise for the siblings, who can be often overlooked.
Art from the Heart provides the ability for a cancer patient to create their own space. When your life is controlled by cancer and restrictions, having a moment to make decisions and take back an ounce of control is immeasurable. An individualized complete in-home room makeover gives a moment of joy for the families which ties into a patient’s health and recovery time.
