The arts inspire, entertain and uplift our community. Artistic events can be true expressions of spirituality, testaments to God's work in the world around us. As one form of the ministry of St. Matthew's Church, The Arts at St. Matthews sponsors performances by artists of regional and national importance.

Judy Collins

Multi Grammy Award Winner

Sunday – April 27th – 4 PM

Concert  $80 – Patron -- $40 Regular -- $10 Students under 18

40 years, Judy Collins has thrilled audiences worldwide with her unique blend of interpretative folksongs and contemporary themes. At 13, she made her public debut performing Mozart's "Concerto for Two Pianos" but it was the music of Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger, as well as the traditional songs of the folk revival, that sparked Judy Collins' love of lyrics. She soon moved away from the classical piano and thus began an illustrious career that has galvanized generations.  A multi Grammy award winner, Collins is renowned for her renditions of “Both sides now,” “Send in the clowns,” “Amazing Grace” and many other songs from her deep and diverse output. Running parallel with her music has been her commitment to social causes. Judy Collins continues to create music of hope and healing that lights up the world and speaks to the heart.
